This August, Gigi Burris Millinery had the honor of topping off two of Jordyn Woods’s pre-ceremony bridal looks. As featured in Vogue, Woods appeared both at her civil ceremony and bridal shower under the brim of a Gigi Burris Hat.
For her civil ceremony with Karl-Anthony Towns at the Santa Barbara courthouse on August 11, Woods stepped out in the ivory Walton Boater crafted by Gigi Burris Millinery: “For this preliminary wedding-weekend event, Jordyn wore a white silk crepe tailored jacket with duchesse satin details and a matching pencil skirt by Thom Browne with patent leather wingtip pumps and channeled Bianca Jagger in a hat by New York–based milliner Gigi Burris.” Woods highlighted the milliner's contribution commenting, “I'm wearing a suit by Thom Browne and a hat by New York-based milliner Gigi Burris…I really felt like my hat completed the look! Shout-out to Gigi [Burris], who made it; she was the sweetest.”
Woods also selected a classic custom ivory straw hat designed by Gigi Burris at her tea party themed bridal shower, pairing the hat with an ensemble by New York label Tanner Fletcher and jewelry by Mikimoto: “I went with all New York designers and felt Tanner Fletcher was perfect for the tea party–inspired look at my bridal shower. Milliner Gigi Burris made my hat, and it along with my Mikimoto necklace were the best finishing touches.”
